Yashika Sahdev, an 18 year old teenager was crowned as the Global Miss Teen International Universe 2023

New Delhi (India), July 15: By none other than the Bollywood Diva Malaika Arora. After taking PAN India Auditions and shortlisting over 90 candidates for the Teen Category, Global India Entertainment Production (GIEP), with the sincere efforts of the show director Allie Sharma conducted the finale of the Pageant successfully along with esteemed personalities like Malaika Arora and Aditi Govitrikar present in the jury where Yashika was awarded the First Place among the Teens and will be proudly representing her country, next year, on an international platform.

She is also one of the youngest authors in our country with her book, ‘The Note Inside the Sea Bottle,’ which was published in July last year. Being a daughter of a proud army officer, Col Ravinder Sahdev, who is currently serving, Yashika has spent all her life in different corners of the country, which has made it her lifelong dream to wear the tricolor on her heart and win the world for India. Her mother, Dr Jasreen Jaura, who was also crowned as Global Mrs Maharashtra, has been a source of constant support and inspiration for her and fosters Yashika’s dreams as her own.

Yashika is also a professional singer, composer and songwriter and launched her first single called, ‘ The Story of a Girl’ this year on all virtual platforms. She has also been a YLAC Counterspeech fellow at the age of 14 and an active volunteer in the Karona Campaign initiated by YLAC. Her endeavors like such motivated her to start her own organization at the age of 15, called ‘Genderscasm’, which advocates for gender equality and empowers people facing gender-based abuse/violence/ stereotypes and prejudices through creative content and active campaigning. Genderscasm has previously organised a beauty pageant in the city of Bathinda, Punjab aiming to empower rural women and donating for the education and healthcare of girlchild. Genderscasm has also organised an Equality Drive called ‘Project Positive’ in the city of Pune, Maharashtra. 

A teenager bubbling with energy and enthusiasm, Yashika has always been a very kind and compassionate personality. Yashika is also a first-year BTech Student from MIT WPU Pune and aims to be an engineer soon. She is also a model and has walked for IKFW 2019 and 2021. This year, she’s preparing with all her efforts to represent India on a Global Platform and win the crown for us. Jai Hind
