New Delhi (India), September 16: With a vision to cater to the growing demand for modern Indian wear amongst women who are not brides, Indya by Shivani Poddar has opened its second and largest Indya Luxe store in India this September (after the first store opened in Bengaluru this June) at Rajouri Garden, New Delhi. The idea of opening a wedding store is to provide customers with a comprehensive experience of the brand, showcasing everything it has to offer. Essentially, an Indya Luxe store will provide an immersive shopping experience of the entire Indya Luxe wedding wear line, including the non-bridal segment, the ready-to-wear range, as well as collections from their recent designer collaborations.

Focusing on expanding its retail presence in India, Shivani plans to establish 8–10 wedding stores under Indya Luxe in this financial year, as she aims to bring the Indya Luxe experience to customers in various cities nationwide. The company is set to increase Luxe’s contribution to Indya’s business from 7-8 percent to 35–40 percent in the next 12 months. With the addition of its Luxe Wedding Stores, Indya aims to create the first cross-region omnichannel occasion and wedding wear brand for women with “Indya Luxe.”

The newest Indya Luxe Store at Rajouri Garden, New Delhi, will also host the collection from their recent collaboration with ace designer duo Rohit Gandhi & Rahul Khanna, which is rightly named “Roshni”—exhibiting a celebration of the love, light, and explosion of colours that the upcoming festive season will bring forth.

“We are very excited to launch Indya’s largest luxe store in the wedding hub of New Delhi and showcase our massive Indya Luxe wedding line along with top collections from our ready-to-wear range. With the onset of the festive and wedding seasons, it is the perfect opportunity for our customers to experience Indya’s complete essence and get an end-to-end feel of the entire brand, what we offer, and of course, become a one-stop destination for all things ‘wedding’. More so, we recognize New Delhi as a key market for designer wear, and we believe that Indya’s vision to make designer aesthetics accessible to everyone fits beautifully with the culture of the city. Hence, this new store will also display all our recent designer collaborations under one roof, where customers can get an exclusive preview”, says Shivani Poddar, CEO and Founder of Indya & Faballey.

Building the differentiator in the niche apparel segment in India, Shivani Poddar is a goal-driven and process-oriented entrepreneur who co-founded High Street Essentials Pvt. Ltd. in 2012. Aimed at the modern Indian woman, High Street Essentials operates two brands under its wing: Faballey, a rapid fashion label for western apparel and accessories, and Indya, a distinctive line of modern Indian wear that now has many sub-brands under its belt, including Indya Luxe (premium wedding wear), Indya Raas (everyday ethnic wear), and Miss Indya (ethnic wear for girls aged 3–14 years). The brand has successfully collaborated with and launched capsule collections by designers like Varun Bahl, Ridhi Mehra, Rimzim Dadu, Payal Singhal, Nikhil Thampi, and Ashish N Soni and continues to take a step forward in democratising designer fashion for the Indian woman at an accessible price point. Under the leadership of Shivani Poddar, Faballey & Indya are focused on offering comprehensive wardrobe solutions covering all facets and occasions.
