In a landmark collaboration to advance Aerospace Manufacturing Technology Skilling and Higher Education in India, Medhavi Skills University (MSU), Aequs Private Limited, and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) have signed a pivotal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Central to this initiative is a “Learn & Earn” program, combining practical training with foundational academic courses. Additionally, a state-of-the-art Centre of Excellence is planned within Aequs SEZ in Belgavi, Karnataka.
Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], October 20: In an unprecedented move to revolutionize Aerospace Manufacturing Technology Skilling and Higher Education in India, Medhavi Skills University (MSU), Aequs Private Limited, and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) have inked a momentous Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The focal point of this collaboration is On-the-Job Training (OJT) merged with skill-based education. MSU, renowned for blending the skilling ecosystem with advanced education, has collaborated with Aequs, an industry leader in diversified contract manufacturing, and NSDC, the premier national body for Skill Development. The MoU, signed at NSDC Kaushal Bhavan, New Delhi, was witnessed by a consortium of eminent personalities, including MSU’s Founder, Mr. Pravesh Dudani and Aequs’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Rajeev Kaul.
As per the agreement, an avant-garde “Learn & Earn” program offering Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Aerospace Manufacturing Technology will be co-developed. The program integrates practical training at AEQUS’s cutting-edge facilities, while MSU focuses on foundational academic courses. Adding depth, NSDC will assimilate formal apprenticeship modules under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) backed by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).
The collaboration underscores the significance of combining OJT-based education with vocational training, addressing youth employability and industry’s skill demands. This direction is further bolstered by the New National Credit Framework (NCrF) under National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which recognizes the value of industry work experience for youths.
Furthermore, a futuristic Centre of Excellence is slated to emerge within the Aequs SEZ in Belgavi, Karnataka. This center aims to set a benchmark for industry-academic partnerships, aligning youth with contemporary, industry-centric engineering education.
MSU’s Pro-Chancellor, Mr. Kuldip Sarma, commented on the alliance, “We’re creating a paradigm shift in education. Our objective is a robust alignment of youth skills with industry needs, ensuring a holistic contribution to the sector.”
